Mazmur 33:8

33:8 Let the whole earth fear ¹  the Lord!

Let all who live in the world stand in awe of him!

Mazmur 34:9

34:9 Remain loyal to ²  the Lord, you chosen people of his, ³ 

for his loyal followers ⁴  lack nothing!

[33:8]  ¹ tn In this context “fear” probably means “to demonstrate respect for the Lord’s power and authority by worshiping him and obeying his commandments.”

[34:9]  ² tn Heb “fear.”

[34:9]  ³ tn Heb “O holy ones of his.”

[34:9]  ⁴ tn Heb “those who fear him.”
